Magic mug with label to personalise

You would like to offer a magic mug to a loved one and you would like to explain how it works. Here are some explanations on the action of the thermo-reactive paints that cover the magic mug. This action is similar to that of glasses that are automatically tinted (photochromic glasses).  The transformation is due to the tinting activator.

The silver halide molecules in the glasses release metallic silver when exposed to the sun's ultraviolet rays. This component is black and the lenses darken. When UV exposure is reduced or stopped, the silver is absorbed by the halide ions and the lenses return to their original state.

UV radiation therefore changes the structure of certain molecules and affects their optical properties as well as those of the lens itself.

A similar phenomenon can be observed with heat-reactive paints: a molecule used in the paint changes its shape when heated to a certain temperature.

The same effect can be seen in mugs.

So, thanks to this thermo-reactive coating, our magic mugs to which a boiling drink is added can make your text, your image or your photo appear. This happens very quickly.

However, in order for the mug to fulfil its magical function, it must first be well made and then it is essential to take care of your magic mug,

A cool magic mug with a label to personalise is an original magic mug idea for any occasion. A custom ceramic magic mug is a great idea. The best magic mug to personalise for your loved ones or to treat yourself, beautifully decorated and enriched with your most loving words or wishes, certainly a cute magic mug.  On Gifts-custopolis.com you will certainly find original magic mug ideas and THE custom coffee magic mug.

The mug is now tending to be rivalled by the mug, which is a large, much more fashionable cup used without a saucer.

A mug is a large cylindrical container with a handle, used without a saucer, which looks like a cup and is used for drinking or measuring in Europe and Quebec, and only for drinking hot liquids in North America.

Its use varies from region to region and it can be decorated and personalised as desired.

Mugs can be of different colours, quite usual and simple, fluorescent, flashy, etc. sometimes with interior patterns or another colour of your choice in the mug.

History of the cup

Particularity of some cups

In the middle of the 18th century, manufacturers started to produce cups of different sizes: the smallest was called "mignonnette", the most common being 6 cm high. At the end of the century, cups were differentiated according to the drink.

First in Germany, then in Austria and France, porcelain factories started to make "trembling" cups deeply embedded in their high saucer, which prevented the container from slipping. It seems to be used more for chocolate and usually has a handle and sometimes a lid.

The origin of these cups is Spanish.

The "Queen's" or breakfast cup, also known as the "milk cup", with its strict truncated cone shape and deep saucer, was invented by Sèvres for the morning breakfast, its particularity was to keep the milk hot. Some are without handles and without lid, others have one or two handles and a lid.

The "litron" cup, also called "square cup", with or without a lid, is cylindrical and has an equal diameter and height. It is the ancestor of our coffee cup. It takes its name and shape from an ancient liquid measuring vessel. This cup appeared at the Vincennes factory in 1752.

Clock with professional...

Greek water clocks An early prototype of an alarm clock was invented by the Greeks around 250 BC. The Greeks built a water clock, called a clepsydra, where rising water told the time and eventually struck a mechanical bird that set off an alarm whistle. The water filled a tank with an hour scale inside and flowed out through a hole in the base of the container. Clepsydras were more useful than sundials - they could be used indoors, at night and even under cloudy skies - but they were not as accurate. Greek water clocks became more accurate around 325 BC and were fitted with a dial with an hour hand, which made reading the clock more accurate and practical. Monastery clocks and clock towers The life of the Church, and in particular the monks who called others to prayer, made chronometers a necessity in daily life. The first clockmakers in medieval Europe were Christian monks. The first recorded clock was built by the future Pope Sylvester II around 996. Much more sophisticated clocks and church towers were built by monks later. Peter Lightfoot, a 14th century Glastonbury monk, built one of the earliest surviving clocks, which is still in use at the Science Museum in London. Getting a birthday clock from a family member or friend is cool : unusual gifts for birthday, best anniversary gift ideas and unique anniversary gift ideas that will always be in time for a family gathering or with friends
